What is Senryu?

Micropoetry | Haiku | Gogyohka | Tanka | Senryu | Twaiku | 1-6 lines | 3-10 words

Senryu is a three line Japanese poem that is structurally similar to haiku poetry. So 17 syllables or less. It differs from Haiku because it’s subject matter much more concerned with human nature and satiric humour. For more info about how it differs from haiku click here.
