Escape

feral cat jowls
on crooked fence
broken wine bottles
litter city streets
he steps over
white chalk line
wondering if he
will ever escape

about
Lisa Arnold (2 Poems)

I have been writing poetry and short fiction for decades. My first collection of poetry that spans over those years was published in 2012 by Casa de Snapdragon LLC. The published work is entitled “Echoes of My Soul.” I am a guest poet at the distinguished Stillwater Magazine and the Founder/Admin of Echoes of My Soul Poetry Forum. I am also an accomplished freelance online article writer for various companies. Currently, I am working on a new collection of poetry and other works. I like to write at night when the world around me goes to bed.
